The staff at this hostel were exceptional! They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They even cooked delicious meals for breakfast and lunch. the location of the hostel was great - just a few blocks away from the bustling streets and attractions, yet situated on a quiet and peaceful road. I also appreciated the fact that there were great local street vendors nearby for authentic dining experiences.
The only downside I experienced during my stay was the spotty WiFi upstairs. However, it worked perfectly fine in all other areas of the hostel, so it wasn't a major issue for me.

I recently stayed at Baan 89 for 4 nights during my trip to explore the cultural sights of the city. The hostel's location in a quiet and charming neighborhood near the canal was perfect for a peaceful stay. The room, although small, was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities, including air conditioning and complimentary water. The breakfast offered delicious options, and I particularly enjoyed the fresh milk and real butter. Sunny, the owner, was like a motherly figure who went out of her way to assist me with everything from navigating the city to recommending the best pad thai spot.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at a hostel located just a short walk from Khao San Rd. the location was perfect for exploring the attractions of Bangkok and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were impressed with the new building and the younger girl at reception, who spoke excellent English and went above and beyond to assist us, including even bandaging a cut on my foot. the hostel was quiet and we appreciated the option of a delicious breakfast, although I personally didn't try it. It may be a bit tricky to find, down a couple of alleyways, but overall, we highly recommend Baan 89 for its quality and convenience. Cons: Nothing that we didn't like 😊.

As women traveling alone, we felt extremely welcome and supported by the friendly and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, even cooking rice soup for our toddler and assisting us during our early check-out at 2AM. the location of the hostel is also convenient, situated near accessible buses and a short walk to the right side where you can find 7/11, street foods, and restaurants.
Felt extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble.
